Sonja van de Camp

My name is Sonja van de Camp and I came on board the AFUO executive as Marketing & Communication Officer to help promote the important work of the Federation to the broader community. I have been involved in many aspects of community life and understand the importance of effective communication. I trust some of the new initiatives planned by the AFUO will strengthen the communication, raise the bar of organisations and its members. Besides community life, my family is my number one priority, I have two beautiful daughters who bring me the most joy in my life, … ooh husband is OK too I suppose.

My Vision

My role as Marketing & Communication Officer is to co-ordinate and provide support to members of the executive in delivering their message to Australia’s Ukrainian community and the broader Australian community. Together with my great team whether it be through collateral, campaigns, branding, email, our website or social networking websites; collectively we will endeavour to provide you with access to local Ukrainian news, community events, projects and activities and be true ambassadors of Ukrainian identity in Australia. In addition, we’ll link you to the latest news stories on Ukraine from Ukrainian and International sources. We also find it within our role to assist and market our Ukrainian Culture, Activities and Organisations to be the one stop shop for all things Ukrainian.

We have launched our new, refreshed ozeukes.com website, I trust it will spark some excitement in the community and act as a very important communication channel not only for CYOA members but also as a communication medium for Ukrainian organisations both nationally and internationally where ideas can be shared and thoughts can be joined.

Today we are able to communicate to the world more freely and quickly, therefore I encourage you all to visit our communication mediums frequently, get involved and use them to network, spread ideas, provide feedback and actively promote our Ukrainian history, culture and national cause.
